Meme (Assquatch Art):
Occasionally, while exploring the wild untrammeled frontiers of the world wide interwub, you’ll stumble across something so revelatory, so mind-bogglingly exquisite, it knocks you back several feet, clutching your head and speaking in tongues. Today I had just such an experience. Like Nietzsche who gazed too long into the abyss or Icarus who flew too close to the sun, I shall never be the same. For I have seen the cruel, implacable face of G*d:

Three examples of finely crafted deer butt alien head taxidermy, a.k.a. “assquatch art.”
Via Redneck Craft Tips by Don Burleson (the web page that cracked my poor brain open like a peanut):
For centuries, families have enjoyed the camaraderie and joy of making alien heads from deer butts. Join the fun! Once you know the secrets, it’s easy to transform an ordinary deer butt into a work of redneck fine art. Let’s take a closer look at this ancient and noble craft…
All you need to create your own deer art is a styrofoam mannequin head, a fresh deer butt, a sharp knife and some glue and you are ready to get started making your own deer masterpiece.

meme (and I was really pulling for Squid Recruitment Dynamics):
The Bookseller magazine has announced the shortlist for the Diagram Prize for Oddest Book Title of the Year:
I Was Tortured By the Pygmy Love Queen
How to Write a How to Write Book
Are Women Human? And Other International Dialogues
Cheese Problems Solved
If You Want Closure in Your Relationship, Start With Your Legs
People who Mattered in Southend and Beyond: From King Canute to Dr Feelgood
"I must pay homage to those books that narrowly missed out on a shortlist place. These were, in no particular order: Drawing and Painting the Undead; Stafford Pageant: The Exciting Innovative Years 1901–1952; and Tiles of the Unexpected: A Study of Six Miles of Geometric Tile Patterns on the London Underground. All sound like they are positively thrilling reads, and I do hope that the authors will try again next year. Honourable mention should also go to two titles that were ruled out because they were published too long ago: an unlikely-sounding HR manual called Squid Recruitment Dynamics, and the fascinating anthropological tome Glory Remembered: Wooden Headgear of Alaska Sea Hunters.
Now comes the public vote, return to the home page to register your selection. The winner will be announced on 28th March.

Joey Beltram's "Mentasm", as well as Prodigy's "Charlie" helped popularize this Techno-Rave must-have sound. Human Resource's "Dominator" is also a great example of this classic rave sound.

I'm not even going to say anything about the Gene Simmons sex tape
I can't. I just can't. It's too easy. Instead, I'll leave it to Anjali, who posted on Yahoo! Answers:
Gene simmons sex tape? my heart is broken :(?
i guess a sex tape with him and another chick (not shannon tweed) has been leaked onto the net. i'm totally heartbroken. they seemed like the cutest couple on their show 'family jewels'... i'm so confused.. why go on a show and act like a family man (apart from announcing that he's unmarried), raise those two smart hilarious children but have the reputation of having slept with thousands of woman? your opinion? has he slept with that many women whilst shannon's all happy with their relationship?? i'm such a geek i know!
Such a sweet kid.
And I'm not even gonna give a link to watch it. You can find it, if you feel the need. Instead, here's Apollo Zero's KISS/Human League mash.

Meme (Drinks at the Devil's Temperature):
Postum 1895-2008, RIP
Kraft Foods has said it is no longer profitable to manufacture the 112-year-old coffee alternative.

Kraft Foods, the makers of coffee alternative Postum, recently announced they will no longer make the once popular beverage.
The drink had a small but loyal following among some Seventh-day Adventists who believe that caffeine negatively affects health and some members of the Church of Latter day Saints who don't drink hot caffeinated beverages. Kraft Foods spokeswoman Laurie Guzzinati said the company stopped making Postum last fall because the demand for it was so low that manufacturing it no longer made sense.
